If you’re like me, you like having options. Before making a big decision – especially one that involves investing your hard-earned money into alternative investments, doing a little due diligence can save you time, headaches, and, of course, lots and lots of money.
But, here’s the problem: doing your due diligence can be a pain. You can find online reviews of a variety of investment platforms, but many of those just feel dishonest. Insincere.
And, the investment landscape can be confusing. There are a lot of options, but sometimes, it can be tough to decide what’s right for you.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have all different types of investment platforms aggregated together into a single interface to make discovery, comparisons, and decision-making a much straightforward task? Almost like a Yelp for investments?
Welcome to the future.
MoneyMade: Your Investment Platform Lifesaver
Released in late 2019, MoneyMade is a platform built to make your life easier. It’s a discovery engine built to help you find and compare all types of investment opportunities, spanning from alternative investment platforms through to Robo Investing.
They built the platform for those who are active investors. It also works for those who want to know more about their options but find the process confusing or time-consuming. The truth is that assessing investment opportunities objectively and honestly is much tougher than it should be. MoneyMade solves that hard problem.
If you consider your time to be your most valued asset, then you’re exactly who MoneyMade was built for.
And, here’s the beauty of how this works: MoneyMade doesn’t provide financial advice.
That means everything you see and read on the website is genuine and objective. MoneyMade brings resources together into a single spot to help you make smart and informed investment choices.
Careful, this gets a bit technical
The power of the MoneyMade platform lies in the discovery process.
The MoneyMade platform offers users the ability to drill down into the investment landscape by discovering new investment platforms that match specific searchable criteria.
In other words, the tool lets you see exactly what you want to see.
Filtering criteria includes (but is not limited to):
- Target returns
- Minimum investment
- Asset classes
- Ease of liquidity
- Holding periods
The platform is ideal for anyone looking to invest in assets outside of public equities and bonds, as well as those looking for more hands-off investing. Many MoneyMade users discover opportunities that they never knew existed.
Key features of MoneyMade
The primary features that make MoneyMade so powerful include:

Social tracking. MoneyMade pulls in the latest tweets to help investors get a feel for what other people are saying about them in real-time.
The website is colorful, beautiful, and fast.
Let’s dive into exactly how MoneyMade makes your life easier.
How MoneyMade Works
MoneyMade helps investors search investment options and decide which ones will work best for them.
It does this through a powerful search tool available on its website. The real power of MoneyMade is in the search and filtering. Here is how it works.
On the Discover page, search by higher-level criteria like Collectibles or Farmland, Loans, or Startups. Drill down by the return type (interest, value, etc.), Liquidity (Easy, Moderate or Hard), and the payout frequency. Then, remove investment opportunities based on accreditation, if desired.
Select as many filtering options as you need. Each time you make a filter selection, the results will automatically refresh on the right-hand side of the page. Look through the investment results and tweak the search if you need to dig deeper.
Click an investment to bring up more information about the opportunity as well as objective reviews from other investors. Compare investment features and reviews quickly and easily between opportunities.
An Example of How MoneyMade Works
Suppose I was looking to invest in a new startup. From the Discover page, expand the ‘Category’ filter section and select ‘Startups’ to drill down. Matching investment opportunities will display on the right.
Here is an example of what your results might look like. Notice the ‘STARTUPS’ filter on the left directly underneath the search box.
From here, there are several different ways to interact with this page.
- Browse through the results by scrolling down the page. Visually inspect key features like minimum investments, target returns, and accreditation.
- Sort the results by clicking on the ‘SORT’ button on the top right.
- Search just these results by typing text into the search box at the top of the page.
To view one of these investment platforms, click anywhere in the row (clicking the name will take you directly to their homepage). For example, let’s select the ‘Harvest Returns’ investment platform. A popup box will appear that looks like this:
Yalong with high-level details like when the platform was established and a few other details. But, you’re probably here for the good stuff. Like, reviews, sentiments, and social mentions.
So, click on the ‘Reviews’ link to the right of Overview.
Depending on the investment opportunity, MoneyMade may not have many reviews – but, more reviews are being added each and every day.
In this example, we have one verified review, and the MoneyMade system recognized it as ‘Excellent.’ Note that reviews can be sorted and marked as ‘Helpful’ if you found that it added value. Of course, feel free to add your own review if you have experience with the investment platform.
Let MoneyMade Make Your Life Easier
Wading through investment opportunities is not easy, and finding objective reviews from real investors is even tougher. MoneyMade makes your decision-making process easier by allowing investors to search, filter, and compare investments, track reviews, and social engagement and take a more active role in their investment life.
Rather than providing investment advice or offering affiliate-based recommendations, MoneyMade takes a step back and lets you, the investor, make the final decision.
And, that’s what MoneyMade truly is. It’s a decision engine.
